Blink too long and all that horrible lattice will be gone too.. Oh, don’t worry though.
This is a picture of a plant that we hope might actually grow.. Chris built this little retaining wall in one area where we had to dig down to keep it all level.I kind of like it!.
So that’s what we’ve got so far.Hopefully within a few weeks things will fill in a little more and I’ll be able to show you something that looks more like a thriving vegetable garden and less like a big brown rectangle.. Hope you liked the little tour anyway!Hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day Weekend!I don’t know what it is with me and weeds, but I just love ’em.If I see a pretty weed flower, I’ll always have to pick it and bring it inside.
And you know how I love.I even love pulling them in the garden.
One tiny weed can have root systems that go on forever.
It’s pretty fascinating actually.. We have these little white flowered weeds growing in last year’s soy bean field next to our property so I had to grab some and see how they would do in the house.. Look at those cute little heart-shaped leaves!.These baseboards are probably my favorite part of the room!.
We decided to try to copy the style of some of the original detail, to make the room seem a little more fancy than it really is.We noticed that the moldings at the bottom of the door casings have an extra piece that kind of pops out, rather than having the casing go straight to the floor, so we copied that around the closet too.. It’s really simple, but it makes a difference in the room..
Adding crown molding is always a really fun thing to do in any space and it always really makes a big impact. It’s easy to see pictures of really fancy versions and think you need to spend a lot, but think twice about that if you have walls that change direction a lot in your room like we do..
